We face the situation at a customer that ACI reported CRC related errors in the GUI. A check of the interface on the leaf then revealed that there were some CRC errors and the counters increasing.

After we switched the transceivers, the counters stopped to increase on the leaf. So we assumed that all is good. But the fault F381328 stayed in the GUI.

We tried to get rid of the fault in the GUI, but couldn’t find a way. In the end it was simple.
Clear the fault directly on the leaf clear counters interface eth1/13

After that it took a short moment and the fault disappeared from the GUI as well.
